Justin Gabriel. EBWF Superstar. Adrenaline junkie. And now no longer in the possession of a coveted undefeated streak after his recent loss to Damien Sandow. It seemed the bearded snob's intellect won out over Justin's athleticism on this occasion. But, hey, who needed those pesky undefeated streaks anyway? They added a lot of unnecessary pressure and that's the last thing you needed when you were in the middle of the ring. That's what he kept telling himself anyway. "Undefeated" Justin Gabriel did have a nice ring to it. He knew there was no point on dwelling on it any further. Everyone lost. You pick yourself up, learn, and come back better next time.
Sunny Miami was a good place to try and unwind and let stress drift away. Lot's of attractive women, lot's of places to do and amazing scenery. But for Justin, his form of release was to find somewhere really secluded and drive somewhere, anywhere, really, really fast. It didn't matter where as long as it was far. And that's exactly what he had just done in his red and grey colored MV Agusta motorcycle. He had finally stopped not to far from a beach and removed his helmet, letting his long back hair hang downwards. After adjusting the black driving gloves covering his hands, Gabriel leaned backwards and took in his surroundings. Even after just doing something so exhilarating, he was completely at peace now. For the moment anyway. A sudden voice disrupted all of that.
"HI!"
Gabriel quickly turned in the direction of the voice. A familiar face was standing close by, smiling with her hands behind her back. Daffney. Former Midnight Gang member. Her hair was a little different, she now had a row of bangs covering her forehead, and she was no longer covered in ghoulish corpse paint. But she still had a sort of alternative look to her. Justin was more than a little weary given Daffney's history.
Justin Gabriel: "Uh. Hey there."
Daffney: "You smell nice."
Justin Gabriel: "Do I?"
He glanced down at his shirtless body which, more than likely than not was covered in sweat.
Daffney: "I KNOW who you are."
Justin Gabriel: "I know who you are too.."
Daffney: "Oh. OH! No, no! It's completely cool!"
Daffney was apparently more than aware of her reputation as being completely whacked out of her mind.
Daffney: "I'm not crazy anymore. Nope. I'm completely, one hundred percent fine. I've got the papers to prove it. Do you know how EXHAUSTING being crazy is? Let girls like A.J. do that stuff. MsChif can scream her head off! They can have it! Not for me! Nuh-uh. No more. I'm straight and narrow. "
Justin Gabriel: "..Alright, well, that's nice and all but--"
Daffney: "Are you wondering why I'm here? It's because I want to be an interviewer! I see that little blonde chick doing it and I told myself that I can do it too! An announcer! SOMETHING! I have to keep productive or I'll..well..ya know."
Justin Gabriel: "You..have your own camera man.."
Justin looked over Daffney's shoulder to spot a man holding a camera standing behind her who had a "help me" type of expression on his face.
Daffney: "That's right. He works for EBWF! I brought him along and we followed you!"
Justin Gabrel: "As..fast as I was going?"
Daffney: "Yes! Do you have any idea how hard that was?! So c'mon! Give me a try-out! C'mon, c'mon, c'mon!"
He figured he didn't have much of a choice. If she had tracked him down, even at the velocity he was going, she probably wasn't going to take no for an answer.
Justin Gabriel: "Alright. I'll..give you a try-out. Do your thing."
Daffney spun and pointed towards her camera man.
Daffney: "Daffney here! I'm interviewing Justin Gabriel who is going one-on-one with Christian at Survivor Series in the opening match! See? I've completely done my research."
Justin Gabriel: "Very good."
Daffney: "Justin! What IS your strategy going into a match with a returning veteran like Christian who knows his way around the ring!"
Justin Gabriel: "The same strategy I use going into every match. Jump off of high places and go crashing down onto my opponent. Have two hundred pounds go slamming into you from ten, fifteen feet up is going to hurt no matter who you are. I find that it's pretty effective. Of course, the opponent could move but that's why they call it high risk. But those are absolutely risks I'm willing to take."
Daffney: "Flips and somersaults and corkscrews and all that stuff! You can do it all, right?"
Justin Gabriel: "That's right. I have so many flips, somersaults and corkscrews in my arsenal that I can't even name them all. If 'Archangel' didn't have such a nice ring to it I probably would have gone with "King of Flippy Shit."
Daffney: "Keep that one on the back burner! Now, Christian is no slouch. In fact, he's a former World Champion!"
Justin Gabriel: "I have no doubt in my mind that Christian is going to be a challenge. What he lacks in flips he more than makes up for in experience and technical ability. To be honest, I've always admired his ability in the ring. But that doesn't mean I'm not going to go out there with every intention to put him straight through the mat with a 450 Splash. Which I must remind everyone, Christian included, that no one kicks out of it. If I hit it, you're done. That goes for Christian and everyone else on the roster. World Champion included. Welcome back to The Captain, it's going to be a hell of a match, but I don't plan on leaving that arena without having my hand raised in victory."
Daffney: "You heard it here first, fans! Gabriel! Christian! The match to kick off Survivor Series! Who will win?! Tune in to find out! Now we're gonna prove how big of an adrenaline junkie Justin! I'm going to stand on those handlebars, he's going to go like 200 hundred miles an hour and we're going to find a big loop to go through! A loop that's on fire! No helmets! ALL ADRENALINE! Are you ready, Justin?!"
That was certainly not part of the deal for allowing Daffney to interview him. After listening, Gabriel shot off on the motorcycle after hearing the "no helmet part". There was just a big dust cloud where the bike was once parked.
Daffney: I guess he's going to do find one of those big, flaming loops! This is Daffney signing off!
The ex-Diva held up a big thumbs up to the camera as everything faded.
